At the heart of the Biology office are a number of individuals dedicated to helping students and faculty. The Biology staff interact daily with dozens of students stopping by or calling to set up appointments with faculty or needing help with class information. In addition, these individuals serve to direct the numerous calls from the public to appropriate faculty members within the department. The staff are involved with scheduling, typing, filing, budget tracking, purchasing, and completing the numerous tasks they are assigned in order to keep the department running smooth and in an efficient manner.

Kathy Zinn

Kathy passed away Monday, February 4, 2008. She was an administrative assistant in the biology department for more than 20 years. Kathy is missed and will long be remembered by students , faculty and staff. Memorial gifts: WHAS Crusade for Children.

Lisa Mattingly

Unit Business Manager

Keeping track of grants and contracts for the Department as well as supervising the purchasing of teaching and research supplies is Unit Business Manager, Ms. Lisa Mattingly.

Amber Bacon

Administrative Secretary

Handling purchasing orders, travel arrangements for faculty and seminar speakers is our Administrative Secretary, Amber Bacon. Amber assists in updating Department vitae, preparing various forms and data reports needed by other offices throughout the University.

Judy is responsible for phones, directing various student questions, typing, and general office needs.
